Analena Mandlsohn of The Mandlsohn Method said, “I didn’t grow up in Canada. I didn’t have a huge network of school friends and family. I didn’t have a so-called “sphere of influence”. When I first got my license, I would do what other agents do to generate business, namely door knocking, sitting at open houses etc. It was slow going and not the most pleasant way of procuring business. You must have very thick skin, as many doors get slammed in your face. 

Even the nicer people who engaged in conversation already knew a realtor they would work with. I needed something to give me a competitive edge. Something different to what everyone else seemed to be doing at the time. There were tens of thousands of realtors on the Toronto Real Estate Board, but not even 0.5% were published authors on the subject. So, I published a book. This was a game changer for me. There are many coaches and trainers out there, but what differentiates me from them is that I was in the trenches trying out all the strategies they teach, without much success. None of them had used a book to scale a real estate business. When I used my book as a lead generation tool, my real estate business literally skyrocketed. That’s what I teach other agents to do.

I don’t think any other coaches can say this. Nowadays, everyone is a published author, but these coaches who have their own books use their books to grow their coaching business. They don’t have experience developing a real estate business with the help of a book. I have firsthand experience doing the latter.
